CORNWALL – Cornwall firefighters filled their boots – so to speak – while raising money for muscular dystrophy.

Members of the Cornwall Professional Firefighters Association presented a cheque to Pamela Musgrave, director of revenue for Muscular Dystrophy Canada.

The cheque presentation for $2,820.62 was made Tuesday (Oct. 20).

The firefighters held their Fill The Boat drive at the Your Independent Grocer parking lot on Ninth Street last weekend (Oct. 18), and asked motorists to drop some spare change or a cash donation into a firefighter boot.
