CORNWALL – Some drivers didn’t get the message about obeying school buses on roads in Cornwall.

City police said 11 drivers received tickets during the month of September for school zone violations.

Passing a stopped school bus with its lights flashing carries a $490 fine and six demerit points.

Cornwall police held the blitz last month as part of the force’s monthly Traffic Action Plan.
