SDSG – The union representing Cornwall’s firefighters have publicly endorsed Bernadette Clement to be the future MP in Stormont-Dundas-South Glengarry.

The Cornwall Professional Firefighters Association, representing 59 members, publicly endorsed the Liberal candidate last week.

“Bernadette’s understanding of community service comes from experience, through her career at the Legal Aid Clinic, advocating for those that need a voice, as well as her time as an effective city councillor. She is now seeking to continue that service to her community as a Member of Parliament,” said Jason Crites, CPFFA president.

Crites said Clement has a “clear voice for first responders’ issues and public safety,” such as the commitment to restore heavy search and rescue teams and more treatment options for PTSD.

Clement is the main challenger to Conservative incumbent Guy Lauzon heading into Election Day on Monday.
