CORNWALL – A new chapter in education in SD&G will be written Tuesday as members of Carleton University announce a new satellite campus.
Officials will hold a news conference at 1 p.m. at Nav Center followed by a guided tour of the Nav Center campus.
Carleton President Roseann O’Reilly Runte and Nav Canada Vice President Neil Wilson are scheduled to speak.
The vision to bring a post-secondary education option to Cornwall has been part of the Joint Implementation Committee and its head Gerry Benson.
During their last visit to Cornwall City Council, the committee said it had refined its vision to have Nav Center house a center of excellence rather than a full-fledged university.
