Charges laid in another cyberbullying case in SD&G

ALEXANDRIA – SD&G O.P.P. have laid a cyberbulling charge after investigating a domestic dispute on Main Street.

Police were called yesterday (Monday) afternoon and quickly found out that a man had sent explicit photos of his ex-girlfriend to anther person.

A 45-year-old man is charged with transmitting an intimate image without consent.

His name wasn’t released in order to protect the victim’s identity.

He will appear in a Cornwall court Oct. 27.

The case in North Glengarry is the second person recently to be charged under the 2014 Protecting Canadians from Online Crime Act.

In August, a 45-year-old Cornwall man was charged for allegedly posting intimate pictures of his ex-girlfriend on Facebook.
