PRESCOTT – Grenville County O.P.P. have shut down the eastbound lanes of Highway 401 near Prescott after a single vehicle crash.
The accident happened around 2:30 p.m. at the Blue Church Road interchange, which was blocking the passing (left) lane.
The O.P.P. tweeted the on-ramp at Maitland is also closed.
Aerial pictures from Newswatch reader Matt Buxton show vehicles being turned around on the highway and send back in a westerly direction.
It’s not known when the highway will reopen.
