The MCA says roughly 15 per cent of southbound traffic will be randomly selected at the Akwesanse Mohawk Police Service-controlled survey work area, however, participation is voluntary.

The survey checkpoint outside the Peace Tree Mall will start at noon and will run until noon on Thursday.

Additional surveys will be held at the following times:

  • Midnight Aug. 15 to 11:59 p.m. Aug. 16 at the Peace Tree Mall
  • 10 a.m. Aug. 18 to 10 a.m. Aug. 19 at the Canadian border plaza
  • Midnight Aug. 29 to 11:59 p.m. Aug. 30 at the Canadian border plaza
  • There are rain dates on Aug. 20 and Aug. 26

The information collected won’t be used to identify people, their vehicle or goods in their vehicles, says the MCA.
