CORNWALL – A Cornwall woman is facing an assault charge after police said one of their officers was assaulted over the Civic holiday weekend.
Police were called to a local bar early Saturday morning and, while dealing with a man in the bar, a woman punched an officer in the back of the head.
The woman, 25, was arrested and charged with assaulting a police officer.
There’s no word on the condition of the officer.
The accused will be in a Cornwall court Sept. 3.
