CORNWALL – The widow of well-known businessman and filmmaker John Earle said her husband suffered a heart attack while diving.
In an interview with Seaway News, Alyssa Blais said results of the autopsy indicted that Earle had suffered a massive heart attack while diving Saturday night.
Blais indicated that doctors had told her it could have been triggered by any strenuous activity and wasn’t related to the diving he was doing.
When Earle surfaced in distress, Blais jumped into the water to save him while a Good Samaritan in a boat jumped into action to help.
Earle was pronounced dead in hospital shortly after the incident.
Visitation is taking place today (Thursday) and a funeral will be held Friday.
