String of boat thefts from Gray’s Creek Marina

GLEN WALTER – Gray’s Creek Marina has found itself the recent target for boat thieves.

SD&G O.P.P. have reported no less than four boats, a gas can, four fishing rods and a boat battery have been stolen in the past week.

In most cases, the thefts occurred during the overnight hours from July 12-19.

The boats stolen include a green duck boat, a 14 foot aluminum “Springbok”, a 2001 “Lowe LV1256” and a 14 foot aluminum “Nordest” fishing boat.

Earlier in the month, on July 6, the O.P.P. investigated the theft of another boat during the weekend of July 3-6 where a 16 foot aluminum blue and silver boat was taken.

An investigation continues.

Police said the investigation is ongoing.

Gray’s Creek Marina has 110 slips and is managed by the Raisin Region Conservation Authority.
