CORNWALL – It’s out with the lion for the Cornwall River Kings as the team changes their logo for the upcoming season.
The LNAH hockey team unveiled the new logo Monday, which owner Steve Moreau hopes will get rid of the “sour taste” around the politics of the hockey team.
The logo now represents a river king – a lumberjack who jumped from log to log while riding down the current of a river.
“This logos represents just that. A tough River King holding a hockey stick.” said Moreau.
The team said there’s also a sense of stability now that the same owner of the LNAH franchise will be coming back as the team enters its fourth year.
