ALEXANDRIA – Not only did two men get nabbed by local O.P.P. in a traffic stop but their vehicle was also yanked off the road.
Officers pulled over a vehicle on Alexandria Main Street late Thursday night and seized a quantity of marijuana from a passenger in the vehicle.
But police also found the vehicle to be unsafe and it was “taken out of circulation.” Police did not say exactly what was wrong with the vehicle.
The passenger, 20, from North Glengarry is facing a drug possession charge.
The driver, 27, from Sainte-Justine-de-Newton, Que. (25 kilometers east of Alexandria, Ont.) is charged under the Highway Traffic Act with operating an unsafe vehicle.
The passenger has a court date in Cornwall in July on the drug charge.
