Williamstown splash pad should open by weekend

SOUTH GLENGARRY – The township says a splash pad at Paul Rozon Memorial Park in Williamstown should be open by the weekend.

The splash pad has been hooked up to a new well and testing is underway this week, said the municipality in a release yesterday (Tuesday).

South Glengarry has been making temporary arrangements for summer camp and soccer programs since April after fire destroyed the clubhouse on the west side of the park.

As for replacing the building, quotes have been received and construction is slated to begin at the end of July.

The township did have insurance on the building.
