Police pull guns in arrest of teen after gun complaint

CORNWALL – A teenager is facing five charges after a weekend incident which rattled some local people.

City police say a man pointed a firearm at citizens in the area of Cumberland Street and Fourth Street around 2 p.m. Sunday.

Shortly after, officers with their guns drawn, intercepted the suspect and took him into custody.

The gun turned out to be a BB gun.

Police say the suspect gave them a false name during their investigation.

An 18-year-old of no fixed address is charged with assault with a weapon, impersonation, possession of a dangerous weapon, pointing a firearm and carrying a concealed weapon.

He was held for a bail hearing in a Cornwall court.
