Twenty-seven charges in vehicle inspection blitz

KINGSTON, Ont. – A two-day vehicle inspection blitz has resulted in 27 charges for drivers in Eastern Ontario.

The O.P.P., Ministry of Transportation (MTO) and the Kingston Police Force inspected commercial vehicles on Wednesday and Thursday (June 10 and 11).

After 78 inspections, 14 charges were laid for lack of vehicle maintenance, a half dozen charges were given out for drivers not meeting certain conditions as well as seven other charges.
