SD&G – There was no luck of the Irish for one driver caught in South Stormont over the weekend.
Provincial police say they pulled over a vehicle going 172 kilometers an hour (107 mph) on Highway 401 on Saturday afternoon.
A man from Ireland, 59, was charged under Ontario’s street racing law and had his driver’s licence suspended and vehicle impounded for a week.
On the same day, officers also caught two drivers in their late-twenties – both from Mississauga – travelling through South Glengarry on the 401 at 151 and 160 kilometers an hour.
