Have your say on city code of conduct

CORNWALL – The municipality wants you to weigh in on a proposed code of conduct for city council.

The move comes after Coun. Brock Frost proposed last month introducing a code of conduct and hiring an integrity commissioner as part of his election promises.

As part of the research, staff are collecting feedback from the public through a survey.

You can find the survey here.

The results will form part of a report that will come to council in the coming months.

The city accountability and transparency message has dominated discussion within the walls of city hall since the election.

A source says councillors have been pushed to get their election promises – many surrounding transparency and accountability – out on the table so they can be dealt with, allowing the municipality to move on to other business for the remainder of the term.
