CORNWALL – A potent painkiller used to treat the side effects for chemotherapy has been seized in a drug bust in Cornwall.

Officers say they found Nabilone while executing a search warrant at a Brookdale Avenue home on April 23.

Nabilone is a synthetic drug used to treat nausea and vomiting for patients undergoing chemotherapy. It has other uses for relieving pain, such as treating fibromyalgia.

Street Crime Unit officers also found other potent painkillers – hydromorphone and Oxycontin – as well as marijuana and meth.

Two women – ages 46 and 21 – were arrested at the scene and charged with drug possession.

They will appear in court May 28.
