SOUTH STORMONT – Three people have been arrested in South Stormont in a disturbing case of assault.

SD&G O.P.P. laid charges last week following an eight day investigation after a report of assaults at a South Stormont home.

They allege two men, ages 31 and 29, and a woman, 29, had assaulted a youth several times over the course of the month of March.

In one case, it’s believed the 31-year-old man had tried to get the youth to perform a sexual act on an animal – a family pet, say police.

The accused from South Stormont is charged with three counts of assault and a single count of compelling the commission of bestiality.

The other man and woman from South Stormont and Cornwall are facing assault charges.

The victim and the accused knew each other, say police.

Their names are not being released in order to protect the identity of the youth.

All three will appear in court in Cornwall, May 28.
