CORNWALL – A woman who had a big role in conservation, politics and teaching in Cornwall and SD&G has died.
Judy Bobka passed away yesterday (Thursday) at the Cornwall Hospice.
Bobka was president of the SD&SG PC riding association and, until recently, was behind the Christine Elliott leadership bid team as its lead organizer.
She was also the chairwoman of the Cooper Marsh Conservators as of last year. Her husband, Dan, is also an active member of the group to preserve Cooper Marsh.
Judy Bobka was a teacher by profession. She had a passion and kept very strong ties to Cornwall Collegiate and Vocational School even after her retirement.
Funeral arrangements are pending.
