CORNWALL – A woman was taken to hospital by ambulance to be checked over after a three vehicle crash on Brookdale Avenue Monday afternoon.

The crash at the intersection of Thirteenth Street around 2:30 p.m. involved a Hyundai Veloster and a Buick Rendezvous.

Police say the initial crash caused one of the vehicles to collide with a pickup truck waiting at a stop light.

The force of the collision set off the airbags in the Veloster and Rendezvous.

Police say there was a total of five occupants in the three vehicles.

One woman in the Buick Rendezvous was taken to hospital to be checked over as a result of the air bag deployment.

Charges are pending against one of the drivers for running a red light.
