CURRY HILL – A man from Laval has been identified as the person killed in that rollover on Highway 401 near the Quebec border Thursday night.
O.P.P. say a Dodge SUV collided with a 2005 Cadillac (STS) in the eastbound lanes shortly after 8 p.m.
The collision caused the Cadillac to hit the ditch and then it rolled over, coming to rest in the westbound lanes.
Police say the driver of that car – Alain Haddad, 53, of Laval – died at the scene from his injuries while a man that was a passenger was treated for minor injuries.
The driver and two women passengers in the Dodge SUV were not hurt.
The westbound lanes of Highway 401 from Third Line Road to the Quebec border were closed after several hours.
O.P.P. and traffic reconstruction experts are still investigating.
So far no charges have been laid.
