CURRY HILL – The westbound lanes of Highway 401 near the Quebec border are closed after a single vehicle crash.
The section from Third Line Road to the Quebec border is expected to be that way for several hours.
An earlier report from 511Ontario around 9:30 p.m. indicated the entire highway was shut down however O.P.P. tweeted just after 10 p.m. that the westbound lanes are the only ones affected.
A witness says a Cadillac STS has rolled near the Curry Hill Truck Stop, partially trapping a middle-aged man.
O.P.P., South Glengarry firefighters and paramedics are on the scene.
It’s not known how many people were in the vehicle.
While SD&G O.P.P. have not confirmed any details, a source tells Cornwall Newswatch the man in the vehicle has died at the scene.
No other details are available.
