
SOUTH GLENGARRY — A township woman is facing a number of charges after a police officer was assaulted Thursday night.
Local O.P.P. officers were called to a home on County Road 2 where they were met by a drunken woman causing a disturbance.
Police allege the suspect was aggressive when she was arrested and broke an officer’s glasses during the scuffle.
The accused, 34, is charged with assaulting a police officer, two counts of assault with intent to resisting arrest, mischief and causing a disturbance.
She was later released with a promise to appear in court next month.
