Two cases of assault with a weapon

CORNWALL – City police dealt with two cases Thursday where seemingly innocent everyday objects turned into weapons in the hands of the wrong people.

In the first case, a Cornwall man, 30, was charged with assault and assault with a weapon after throwing a laptop at his girlfriend during an argument.

Then, police arrested and charged a city woman, 61, after a water bottle and an egg were whipped at a man, 39, that she knew.

She will be court next month on a charge of assault with a weapon.
