
SOUTH DUNDAS/SOUTH STORMONT – Provincial police ended up seizing drugs from a couple of motorists within two hours, west of Cornwall.
Officers stopped a vehicle on County Road 18 Wednesday night around 8 p.m. and seized suspected marijuana.
The driver, 27, and the passenger, 23, both from South Dundas were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance.
The driver was also charged with speeding and driving without proper headlights under the Highway Traffic Act and driving a vehicle with open alcohol under the Liquor Licence Act.
Less than two hours later, O.P.P. officers stopped a vehicle on Dickinson Drive in South Stormont where they seized cannabis resin, hydromorphone tablets and a fentanyl patch.
The driver, 20, from South Stormont was arrested and charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance.
Both cases will be in a Cornwall court in May.
