CORNWALL — The future of The Art Gallery (TAG) is sure to come up tonight, a day after the city’s budget committee agreed to cut funding.
TAG is holding an information session for its members at 7 p.m. tonight (Tuesday) at the gallery at 168 Pitt Street.
Budget members decided Monday to limit funding to the money the gallery has already been advanced this year — about $13,500. A delegation had been asked for $70,000.
TAG chairman Wyatt Walsh told the committee they are in the middle of an investigation and TAG’s executive director, Sylvie Lizotte, is on leave.
The funding cut still has to be approved by city council.
