Driver in North Stormont has vehicle seized

NORTH STORMONT – A North Stormont driver has had his vehicle impounded and his licence suspended for a week.

An O.P.P. officer on County Road 15 stopped a vehicle Saturday afternoon going 135 kilometers an hour (in an 80 kilometer an hour zone).

The male driver, 46, was charged under Ontario’s street racing law.

He was one of two drivers who lost their vehicles over the weekend in SD&G.

On Saturday night, an 18-year-old Ottawa driver was caught going 167 kilometers an hour on Highway 401 in South Stormont.
