WINCHESTER – Two men and another male teen have been charged in connection to a violent pet store robbery in Winchester on Monday.
SD&G O.P.P. identified and arrested a 19-year-old from Ottawa and a 20-year-old from Gatineau, Que. as well as a 15-year-old from Russell Township.
Officers reportedly had surveillance video from the Pet Valu at 12006 Main Street West to help in their identification of the suspects.
They are each facing a charge of robbery with a weapon.
All three were expected to be in Cornwall bail court today (Wednesday).
A female clerk was injured Monday night when three young males went into the store around 6 a.m. – one armed with a metal bar and two wearing balaclavas – and demanded money.
The clerk was treated at hospital for what police are calling minor injuries.
