O.P.P. hoping to sniff out leads in pet store robbery

WINCHESTER – Provincial police are hoping somebody may have some information after a pet store in Winchester was robbed Monday.

Police say three young men entered the Pet Valu at 12006 Main Street West around 6 p.m., one armed with a metal bar.

A female clerk was assaulted during the robbery as the suspects made of with an undisclosed amount of cash.

She’s expected to be okay after being treated at the Winchester hospital, say police.

Police say the three suspects were all wearing winter jackets and blue jeans. Two had balaclavas, one red and the other black, covering their face.

They were last seen heading across County Road 3 in the area of the Tim Hortons parking lot.
