Cornwall police, firefighters and paramedics were called to the 2900 block of McConnell near the intersection of a little dead-end street called Hall Street around 3:55 p.m.

One person was taken from the scene by ambulance as a precaution, say police.

McConnell Avenue was down to one lane of traffic while a Metro Towing truck spent some time fishing the Toyota SUV out of the ditch.

The Toyota truck had extensive rear passenger side damage.
