CORNWALL – It was a case of trading spaces at the Cornwall Community Police Service Board Tuesday afternoon.

Coun. Andre Rivette was elected chairman of the board for the next term.

Rivette, who was vice chairman in the last term, was uncontested.

Previous chairman Pat Finucan was elected vice chairman, taking Rivette’s spot.

There’s another new face on the board – community representative Manon Thompson.

She is a regional consultant for Elder Abuse Ontario and was the executive director of the Cornwall General Hospital and the Cornwall Community Hospital Foundation from 1993-2006, according to her LinkedIn profile.
