CORNWALL – Young professionals in Cornwall have the opportunity to mingle with city councillors today (Thursday).

Cornwall Chamber’s Young Professionals has organized for a meet and greet with the mayor and councillors to give upcoming professionals the chance to network.

The meet and greet will be held at Moustache Joe’s from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at no cost to attendees.

“We’re excited about our group’s opportunity to meet and chat with these elected officials,” said Megan Brownell, Events Coordinator, Cornwall and Area Chamber of Commerce. “The Young Professionals was conceived by the Chamber to help connect the City’s new generation of leaders with the professional community, and the Council meet and greet is a good example.”

“The Chamber’s Young Professionals will be there and its members would also like to extend an invitation to their peers to join in,” said Brownell.

“With budget deliberations underway, our Young Professionals may have some interesting insights to offer the Mayor and members of Council,”

Mayor Leslie O’Shaughnessy along with Councillors Brock Frost, Carilyne Hébert, Elaine MacDonald, Mark MacDonald, Claude McIntosh, David Murphy and Justin Towndale have confirmed their attendance.
