CORNWALL – Doug Gilmour of Toronto Maple Leafs fame will stop in Cornwall next week as part of a presentation for a city recreation prize.

Cornwall came in second place in the Shoeless Joe’s Sports Grill competition “If Your Team Wins, Your Community Wins” contest.

The money will be used to paint a center line on the waterfront trail and bike path system.

Kemptville beat out Cornwall for the top prize of twenty grand.

The money will be given to the city, with the hockey great Gilmour there, during a get-together on Jan. 28 at 7 p.m. at the restaurant on Brookdale Avenue.
