WINCHESTER – Winchester District Memorial Hospital (WDMH) is creating a Patient and Family Engagement Committee.
The purpose of this committee will be to bring and generate new ideas and thoughts to improve patient care.
“The patient’s voice is the most important one at the table,” explains Lynn Hall, Senior Vice President, Clinical Services. “We want to hear their ideas on how we can improve each patient’s experience at WDMH.”
The committee will be made up of members of the community, with no special qualifications required. Any necessary training will be provided and the committee will meet at least four times a year.
“We believe that health care providers and patients should be partners in care,” adds Cholly Boland, CEO. “The Patient and Family Engagement Committee builds upon the many ways that WDMH gains feedback from patients and families. By working together, we can continually improve the quality and safety of the care we provide.”
Anyone interested in joining the committee can fill out an application form, found at the Winchester District Memorial Hospital’s website or contact Dianna Lapier at 613-774-2422, extension 6352.
