SD&G – With hours to go before the extended deadline ends in the United Way campaign, organizers have sweetened the pot, so-to-speak.
The United Way has been given an iPad mini and anyone who donates to the campaign before 4:30 p.m. on Friday will have their name entered in the draw.
The UW says the donation has to been made in person at the office at 405 Fourth Street West, online or by credit card by calling 613-932-2051.
United Way campaign chairman Nolan Quinn told Seaway News Monday it looked like the campaign may end short of its goal.
As of Monday, the fundraiser for 16 local agencies had only reached 85 per cent of its $707,070 goal.
