River Kings put freeze on Isothermic

CORNWALL – The Cornwall River Kings defeated the Thetford-Mines Isothermic 6-2 Saturday night.

Anthony Courcelles opened the scoring for Cornwall in the first, followed by a pair of goals from Michael Tessier.

Courcelles would add another goal in the second and Steve Simoes and Andre Sandrzyk added singles in the third to solidy their win.

There were 1,158 fans on hand for the game at the Ed Lumley Arena.

The win extends the River Kings’ winning streak to three games.

Cornwall will be back in action Sunday afternoon as they host Jonquiere at 2 p.m.
