SOUTH GLENGARRY – Travellers from the other end of the province got off Highway 401 Monday and straight into the arms of the law.

SD&G O.P.P. set up a RIDE spot check on an off-ramp in South Glengarry, where they found marijuana in a vehicle they were checking.

The male driver, 20, a female passenger, 18, and another male youth, 17, all from the Windsor-area were arrested and charged with drug possession.

They were released with a promise to appear in Alexandria court in February.

This is the second drug seizure in as many days at RIDE spot checks in SD&G.

On Sunday, police charged a South Stormont man, 18, with drug possession for the purpose of trafficking after an early morning RIDE spot check on Sixsmith Drive in South Stormont.

The man charged was a passenger in the vehicle that was stopped.
