Drugs caught at RIDE spot check

LANCASTER – A Cornwall man is facing drug-related charges after rolling through a RIDE spot check east of the city.

Police say during their check of a vehicle on Tuesday night on Military Road at Boundary Street in Lancaster they found a quantity of marijuana.

A Cornwall man, 33, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance under 30 grams.

He was released with a promise to appear in court in Alexandria Feb. 4.

The Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) campaign ends Jan. 2.
