WINCHESTER – Three members of the Winchester District Memorial Hospital have been recognized for their work at the facility.

Volunteer Elva Patterson-Rutters, Dr. Brian Devin and staff member Lorna O’Neill were given Values Excellence Awards on Friday.

The awards honour people, teams or departments that are living hospital values every day: quality, teamwork, compassion and respect.

Elva Patterson-Rutters is one of WMDH’s Pastoral Care volunteers and her friendly visits bring cheer to everyone she comes in contact with, her nominators said.

Chief of Staff and family physician Dr. Brian Devin was praised for his commitment to WDMH’s residency teaching program.

Lorna O’Neill is the first face patients and visitors see when they come to the medical/surgical unit. She makes a positive impact and goes above an beyond on a regular basis, her nominators said.
