SD&G – Heavy rain, coupled with high winds, are expected to hit the Seaway Valley tonight.
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement this morning for SD&G and much of Eastern Ontario and the Ottawa Valley.
It says a storm system from Kansas will make its way into our region tonight with rainfall amount of 15-30 millimeters.
The forecast for Cornwall is calling for 10-15 millimeters tonight and 5-10 tomorrow.
Behind the heavy rain will be high winds on Monday, which forecasters says will be 70-80 km/h out of the southwest with gusts up to 90 km/h at times.
The temperature will also rise to an unseasonable high of 18.
Environment Canada says the wind may bring down tree limbs and could cost sporadic power outages.
