CORNWALL – Hundreds of kids, both young and old, lined Second Street West to see the jolly old elf…and he didn’t disappoint.

Santa Claus made his appearance in Cornwall a little over a month before he has to make stops around the world bringing gifts to children on Christmas Eve.

People were clustered on both sides of the street Friday night, many trying to keep warm from the biting wind, as they waited for floats with the theme of β€œAn olde-fashioned Christmas.”

Colourful characters were in the parade, such as Cookie Monster, some gingerbread men and a ninja turtle.

The parade lasted a little over an hour for folks situated near Glengarry Boulevard near the start of the parade route.
