LONG SAULT – Provincial police are warning residents about some shady people asking for money around Long Sault.
SD&G O.P.P. received a report Friday of the false soliciting.
Witnesses say people, both men and women, were going door-to-door Thursday night asking for donations to the Children’s Aid Society.
The CAS doesn’t collect donations at the door, said police.
O.P.P. say you should ask for ID or other documentation and if it appears to be suspicious, call the affected organization or police with the information.
