CORNWALL – A teenager looking to get another person in trouble had her plan backfire.
Cornwall police say they arrested a 16-year-old girl on Sunday and charged her with public mischief.
The youth had allegedly called the cops Oct. 15 on another person, saying that person had breached a court order.
But police soon figured out the tip was bogus.
The girl was picked up while walking on St. Michel Street.
Her name was not released under provisions in the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
