Biz move to S. Stormont over building ownership: South Dundas

MORRISBURG – South Dundas insists the loss of Quality Manufacturing was over building ownership.

The plastic processing and packaging manufacturer announced this week it’s moving from Morrisburg to a 55,000 sq. ft. building in South Stormont, which will be its new manufacturing headquarters.

“Quality Manufacturing’s relocation was motivated in large part by the opportunity to own their own facility,” read a statement from South Dundas in part.

The new headquarters on Farran’s Point Road is being renovated with operations expected to begin next year. The plant has 30 employees.

Calls to South Dundas’ Economic Development office and to Quality Manufacturing general manager Gordon Carvell were not returned.
