SOUTH GLENGARRY, Ont. – The westbound lanes of Highway 401 had to be closed for a couple of hours last night after a tractor-trailer crash.
Provincial police say a truck with a load of paper products crashed in the median just before 6 p.m.
Investigators are still trying to determine how the driver – a 41-year-old man from St. Catharines – lost control. He was taken to hospital by ambulance and treated for minor injuries.
The section of highway was closed until 8:30 p.m. while towing crews cleaned up the scene.
