Highway 401 driver was going how fast?

SOUTH STORMONT, Ont. – A driver has been charged after going nearly double the posted speed limit on Highway 401.

SD&G O.P.P. say the 25-year-old male driver from Markham was pulled over on Friday night. The police officer clocked the vehicle at 190 km/h.

The man had his car impounded for seven days and his driver’s licence suspended for the same amount of time.

He was one of four drivers caught under Ontario’s street racing law over the past few days. Another man was caught going 141 km/h on Highway 138 on Thursday night.
