MORRISBURG, Ont. – Eight officials from Thailand will be studying the organics business in Morrisburg.
The delegation from the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives will be touring the Homestead Organics plant on Allison Avenue tomorrow afternoon. The group is in charge of making the soil better for the agriculture industry in the Southeast Asian country.
Thailand is currently working on a 2.7 million hectare site, promoting long term sustainable and organic farming. The group’s trip to Morrisburg’s Homestead Organics will be an exchange of ideas as well as marketing, technical information and best practices.
Homestead Organics has had a plant in Berwick since 1988 and recently opened the second grain processing plant in Morrisburg.
