Split results on the road for Colts, Kings

CORNWALL, Ont. – Cornwall’s two hockey teams had mixed results on the road Friday night. It all came down to the final period in Smiths Falls as the Cornwall Colts were first on the board. But the Bears answered, scoring four times to rout the Colts 4-1. The Colts play next on Sunday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. in Nepean. Cornwall is 6-1 on the season.

Meanwhile in Laval, Quebec, the Cornwall River Kings drew first blood in a home-and-home series edging the Braves 5-4. Scoring for Cornwall were Nicolas Corbeil and Anthony Courcelles each with a pair and singles from Patrick Langlois and Julien Corriveau. Laval comes to Cornwall Sunday afternoon at 4 p.m. at the Ed Lumley Arena.
