CBS has been juggling a football this week and it hasn’t even been on the field. The network decided to drop its new song by Rihanna to open NFL Thursday Night Football just days after Ray Rice was suspended for that incident in the elevator where Rice can been seen beating on his now-wife. The network wanted to address domestic violence with commentary instead of the jazzed up intro. Rihanna then chided the network for dropping the song with another form of violence – words. This pop singer should be more understanding having been the victim of domestic violence at the hands of Chris Brown. Remember the pre-Grammy party pictures from 2009 with her swollen face? Words and phycological violence cut just as deep and hands. After this display I don’t blame the network for choosing to cut ties with Rihanna’s song.
